Bathroom Design

Malibu, Pacific Palisades, Santa Monica & Calabasas

A bathroom can change your whole morning. Start with a tile you love, a beautiful light, or a vanity with a little attitude. Then make every detail work.

Amy Pigliacampo Interiors designs bathrooms in Malibu, Pacific Palisades, Santa Monica, and Calabasas, from powder rooms to primary bathrooms within a larger renovation. We work through layout, custom cabinetry, tile, lighting, and fixtures together, with plenty of room for your personality.

Discuss your bathroom project

Black-and-white terrazzo shower, veined marble vanity, pink scalloped floor tile, brass fixtures, and irregular mirror.

Small room. Strong opinions.

We love what happens when the right pattern meets the right shape. A curved mirror can soften a room full of straight lines. A patterned floor can give a simple vanity something to play against. We look closely at scale, color, grout, and the way light moves across each surface. Even the faucet has a part to play.

Deep blue powder room with an arched mirror, pleated sconces, patterned tile, and a wood vanity.

The beautiful part has to work at 7 a.m.

Where do the things you use every morning go? Is the light right at the mirror? Can two people get ready without negotiating every move? We work through vanity storage, shower layouts, lighting, and wet and dry areas alongside the visual direction. The design scope can include custom cabinetry, countertops, tile, plumbing fixtures, mirrors, decorative lighting, and styling.

A little scallop goes a long way.

We gave this blue-gray vanity a scalloped hem and let the Bert & May floor tile do its thing. Made with Aaron Dunn Design Build, the cabinetry has plenty of storage behind that pretty face. Green Clé tile, Kohler fixtures, and Huey Lightshop sconces pull the room together. A bathroom deserves a point of view, too. See the project notes.

From the tile crush to the plan

Bring the references you keep coming back to, and tell us what isn’t working in your bathroom. We’ll talk about your home, anticipated investment, and timing, then establish the scope and develop the layout and palette. We work through the details with your architect, contractor, and craftspeople as needed. Depending on the agreed scope, that work can continue through sourcing, site visits, installation, and the final styling.

Part of a larger renovation?

Yes. We design bathrooms as part of larger home renovations, considering the architecture and materials around them. Each room can have its own personality while still feeling like it belongs in the same home.

Planning a powder room?

There’s a lot you can do with a small room: sculptural lighting, a vanity with a great silhouette, or a pattern you can’t stop thinking about. Tell us what you have in mind, and we’ll discuss whether the scope is a fit.

Let’s talk about your bathroom

Tell us what you’d love to see when you open the bathroom door—and what you’d be very happy to change. For a project in Malibu, Pacific Palisades, Santa Monica, or Calabasas, include your location, the rooms you’re considering, anticipated investment, and timing. We’ll talk about the next step.
