Captain Whidbey: materials and collected objects

Travel · Whidbey Island & Puget Sound

I’m always most drawn to spaces that couldn’t just exist anywhere, where the architecture, materials, objects and imperfections tell you something about the place and the people who have lived there. I think about homes the same way: the best ones aren’t trying to become something they’re not, but pull from their history, their surroundings and what was already there to create something that feels collected and specific.
