Christmas came early this year…finally after months of planning and waiting, beautiful papers got installed the same week at 2 projects! Here’s a look into our #ironicmeetsiconicinbklyn Parlour…some incredible progress photos from @2damncheeky along with our design boards. Interior Design is a waiting game, filled with lots of “hurry up and wait”; it takes a lot of patience, time, resources and flexibility. Eternally grateful and honored to be invited into the lives and homes of my incredible clients; every job is an experience that I treasure…and oh my, it’s just SO PRETTY when you finally get near the finish line!

Interior inspiration close to home
Sometimes inspiration is 8 minutes down the street; so grateful to spend time in this stunning home designed by mega talents @istoriainteriors and @reneedelgaudioarchitecture … the combination of these two women is MAGIC and I left feeling completely invigorated and like I need to work harder🙋🏼♀️. Stephanie may not know this but she’s one of several women (also looking at you @tandem.interiors) that inspired my pivot from fashion to interiors and it’s cool to see her crushing it. Thanx for a great morning Ladies💋💋👩🏻🎤👨🏻🎤…can’t wait to see the super pro photos and compositions from @davidlauerphoto 📸 (these are just my hack iPhone pics)
Planning an open living and dining space
Open concepts are amazing but they require a bit of thought in terms of selections; everything needs to feel like it can hang out together (but never match) and you have to strike that yummy balance between light/dark, rough/smooth, hard/soft, modern/vintage and cool/warm where a space feels elevated, comfortable and personal (and sets the stage for the rest of the home). Throwback to my first site visit at our #savvyinthesouthslope project with @prospectsarah + @justrosieinbk … been working through this concept all week and it’s feeling so good! (Swipe right⏩)

Southwestern inspiration on the road
My friends @saltwolf were recently discussing Southwest inspiration and it’s prevailing influence in design and It got me thinking...maybe because I’m from the East Coast I find this area particularly inspiring because it’s SO different from what I grew up around; sparsely populated, harsh, faded...the beauty is so subtle, the colors so delicate, I feel a unique stillness in the quiet of the desert. Grateful to be back in Taos with my little crew to reflect on the past 6 years of motherhood💓(also totally planning design changes to Nova even though I said I wouldn’t 🤣)
