A room gathered around plants

Here we go again @coreindustries … not going to be able to take most of my plant babies to California but at least there is a great space to rebuild. Ready for the new house concept? Soft Brutalism meets Bladerunner at the Disco 💥🪨✨🗿🎞️🪩🔗💪🏻

Collected shelves at The Well Lived Woman

Really floored by @jaimibrooks vision for her space @welllivedwoman designed by @sarahshermansamuel (whose work never ceases to blow me away). I’ve devoted so much time and effort these past two years to understanding the importance of connection in all relationships and I’m thrilled to have access to this space and all that it has to offer upon moving back. Topanga has changed so much in the 10 years since I lived there, it’s beautiful to witness it’s evolution and growth. Also Jaimi thank you for being so open to a total random person (me) talking your ear off in the parking lot. I can’t wait to sign up for some events🫶🏻✨

Objects and materials that make a room personal

Been exploring the concept of attachment to objects in depth lately…what “stuff” represents to some of us…how we use it to ground ourselves and ward off difficult emotions. It’s important for me to understand this personally but also for my clients as I guide them toward purchases that will ideally be useful and bring joy for many years. While it can be hard to let go of items that felt “helpful” at one time it can also be cathartic. Creating miniature spaces kept me creative when the world shut down so editing down my supplies is fraught with a bunch of complex feelings. Trying to embrace my inner @mariekondo , thank them for their service and send them off to better homes…but I’m keeping some of the really special things ✨💫🙈

A small-scale home with considered details

Spring cleaning has started early this year…time to let go of some really sentimental pieces like these @magnolia dollhouses I customized over Covid lockdown that got featured in @dominomag 🥹…these projects truly saved my life and kept me inspired. Selling each unfurnished so text me if you’re interested and local…what a strange 3 years it’s been✨💫✨…time for the next chapter to begin 💃🏼

Pink walls and checkerboard tile in Palm Springs

Here’s to more PINK in 2023…while I’ve sometimes shied away from it (too expected? too feminine?) I now embrace my love for it wholeheartedly. Pink is said to represent the inner child, and being in touch with it. It's also said to be connected with opening of your heart, or inviting romance into your life (I’ll take it💓). Never a shortage of it in California, here are a couple of blissful design moments from @sandshotelspa 💞🌵💞🌵💞

A bookshelf vignette in Durango

Saturday Shelfie from my @airbnb in Durango…while I don’t usually gravitate toward these shelf materials they have a classic quality to them that works. Styling shelves is one of my favorite things to do particularly for clients; their reaction to their own “stuff” reimagined is always the best 💓 some seriously impressive remodeling here by @brumleyandwells and @thewellsmakery (they completely transformed the space)
