Master Bath beforeandafter and my deep thoughts on pattern...I’m obsessed with surfacedesign and patternedtile is like the best thing ever...except that it’s hella expensive to buy and install and what happens when cobalt blue isn’t your jam anymore and/or you have to sell you house? It could make things more complicated and unless you’ve got an installer that you can pay in cookies it’s gonna cost you several grand (3-6k) to rip out and redo (at least in a pricey market) so looonnngg story short, I opted to keep the tiles neutral and add pattern through vintage textiles (I’ll spare you the gory details surrounding the process of obtaining said rug)...I was also determined to have the faucets centered in each vanity half which meant that the cabinetry would get chopped up in strange ways...after some convincing, my cabinet guy agreed to make my vanity look like my drawing (and he actually used my half drawer suggestion) While I’m all about function, if it doesn’t look amazing I could care less🤷🏼‍♀️...the last photo is the .
