A fresh direction after a water leak
So excited to see these designs come to life for our clients who have been thru hell and back thanx to a water leak that ruined EVERYTHING in their home.
Floral wallpaper in a powder room
Wallpaper Wednesday! I love how the right paper can make you see a room completely differently. Add a new light fixture or swap out the plumbing fixtures,…
A whole-home color scheme
What’s our favorite kind of project? Whole House Remodels! Nothing is more satisfying than taking some tired, dated and usually fifty shades of brown and…
A bathroom with its own point of view
A new build is really a collection of decisions, room by room.
Twin bathrooms in color and texture
Moody Monday… bathrooms are one of our favorite places to play with unexpected color and texture and these twin bathrooms from our #musicalmountainhideaway project feature Roman Clay walls from @portolapaints wall sinks from @concretti_designs , concrete and slate tiles from @cletile and our favorite @hueylightshop sconces.
Making material choices for your own home
Nothing harder than designing your own home. I find ALL the reasons to procrastinate here because as much as I love getting what I want the steps to get there are just as difficult for me as they are for our clients (time, mess, money, people in your space) BUT I’m finalizing designs for 3 bathrooms, a small kitchen and a new flex space and we are really excited about the materiality in particular! Existing colors and materials like travertine, saltillo and teal windows have given rise to some really interesting color palettes and I’m excited to finally install tile from my collaboration with @clayimports alongside stunning terrazzo from @concretecollaborative 🥳 follow along for details and progress!
A bright new chapter for a children’s bathroom
BEFOREandAFTER kids bath edition: dated 90s dungeon turns light, bright and modern with tile from @concretecollaborative white plumbing from @jacloindustries and floating vanity from @talahome.co … not sure what to do in your space? We can help 💁🏼♀️ take your space from dreary to dreamy, DM us for our complementary Welcome Guide.
A bathroom transformed by tile and color
#MakeoverMonday - tile and color make all the difference here; we didn’t move walls or add windows but the space feels completely fresh and 💛⭐️🌝🍋 - what color tub would you choose? COMMENT BELOW⬇️
Progress on a Pacific Palisades renovation
Checking on progress at our #palirevival project and the transformation is major! Lots more to do but it already feels completely different🔨…these before and “during” photos remind me how much I LOVE renovating and how dramatic the results can be. Seemingly humble materials, like these tiles from @clayimports can turn something that’s tired into something completely fresh and elevated. Of course, design is meaningless without the right team to execute our vision so big thanx to @guyboulangerconstruction for nailing it💪🏻 and @lurchjohnsonphdog for collaborating 🤍
A new personality for a family bathroom
We never get tired of a dramatic transformation … kids bathroom at our Durango project has a whole new personality🩵💛❤️ with some help from @fireclaytile @duttonbrown @potterybarn @kohler
Deep blue walls in a mountain powder room
𝙼𝚘𝚘𝚍𝚢 𝙼𝚘𝚗𝚍𝚊𝚢…while we haven’t seen it in person yet, really loving the photos from our #musicalmountainhideaway powder room with Mare Island #romanclay from @portolapaints , handpainted tiles from @tabarkastudio and custom vanity from @aarondunndesignbuild this one is 𝚜𝚞𝚌𝚑 𝚊 𝚟𝚒𝚋𝚎
A blue terrazzo basin takes shape
𝕄𝕒𝕜𝕖𝕠𝕧𝕖𝕣 𝕄𝕠𝕟𝕕𝕒𝕪; getting SO CLOSE to the finish line with our kids bathroom remodel! We partnered with @concretecollaborative on their beautiful 𝔹𝕆ℕ𝔻𝕀 sink, created this custom floating vanity with @talahome.co and installed @jacloindustries ℂ𝕆ℕ𝕋𝔼𝕄ℙ𝕆 Single Lever Wall Faucet in 𝕨𝕙𝕚𝕥𝕖🤍🤍🤍this combo is magic and the space feels so good, just waiting for our @mymitzi lights to arrive this week and then she’s 📸ready!
A bathroom palette comes together
It’s quite the process to get those pretty photos! Our @concretecollaborative Venice Acier 6x24 tiles were meticulously sealed, measured, mapped out and are now 𝕒𝕝𝕞𝕠𝕤𝕥 completely installed! Once that’s complete we will move to the vanity from @talahome.co and plumbing from @jacloindustries topped with our Bondi sink, also from Concrete Collab! So ready for this space to actually function (𝕥𝕙𝕖 𝕤𝕙𝕠𝕨𝕖𝕣 𝕤𝕥𝕒𝕣𝕥𝕖𝕕 𝕘𝕦𝕤𝕙𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕨𝕒𝕥𝕖𝕣 𝕚𝕟𝕥𝕠 𝕥𝕙𝕖 𝕣𝕠𝕠𝕞 𝕓𝕖𝕙𝕚𝕟𝕕 𝕚𝕥 𝕗𝕚𝕣𝕤𝕥 𝕥𝕚𝕞𝕖 𝕨𝕖 𝕦𝕤𝕖𝕕 𝕚𝕥!) AND look amazing. Grateful to be working with these gorgeous materials + talented people🩵🤍🧡 and counting the days until it’s 📸 ready !
A new personality for a primary bathroom
Soooooo satisfying…primary bathroom peek at our Durango remodel for @adacolme - the space has a completely new personality and vibe! Really excited to document this project but for now, grateful for amazing shots from our clients.
Bathroom renovation in progress
Well, it was calm there for a hot minute…back to crazy reno life starting with unconfirmed bathroom demo this morning and a frantic dash to capture all of the before moments before they were gone. This shower started leaking and had to be shut down before we even moved in so it’s been frustrating AND not cute. Very excited to be collaborating with @concretecollaborative and jaclo and @talahome.co on this space, it’s been a dark, dated and dysfunctional mess for 6 months and we are so ready to make it our own with these incredible sources. We will be keeping you up to date on progress so please follow along #finallyhomeintopanga here🛠️
Botanical wallpaper and a Design Milk feature
Cool little surprise today, my @designmilk interview made their Friday5 Top10 this year! If you wanna get to know me fast, this is THE interview to read; check the link in my bio to review, featuring my #ironicmeetsiconicinbklyn project with lots of @flavorpaper magic
Hill Country interiors in Rue
Just in case you wanted to linger on the images 😘…our #hillcountryunexpected project with @harpersmithphoto (love u!) + @cameronduddy is on newsstands this week! What a crazy ride this one was, culminating in me taking the photos (kitchen + piano shot by @claire_schaper) with phone support by @coreindustries ! Since I’m a total control freak, we usually shoot together with Corey behind the camera but we couldn’t make this one work so 2 weeks before a major MOVE I flew to TX on Mother’s Day and GOT IT DONE (imagine the pressure of taking photos of an amazingly talented pro photographer’s home, Hi Harper 😂)…not sure I’ve ever worked this hard for photos (and I’ve had some intense shoots) but it’s all good because the incredibly awesome @kellilamb_ wanted it for @ruemagazine and my life is complete, Merry Xmas, Happy Birthday ,thank you thank you and bye now💪🏻💥⚡️🔮💫📸🧿❣️
A special tile moment in a shower niche
All the pretty materials we specified months ago are finally getting installed at our #musicalmountainhideaway for @brandybschultz + @wesleyschultz like these jammy zellige tiles from @cletile . This shower niche got an extra special magical tile moment courtesy of their travels through Turkey this summer 💫✨💥 such a cool team I’ve gotten to collaborate on this project with, truly a dream @conklin_architecture @eplordredesign @aarondunndesignbuild @simonefelicemusic
