Got to show my friends @clayimports one of my favorite spots to hang in Malibu this week and guess what?!? No photos were taken! Of course this makes it challenging to post on socials but OMG it’s so much more fun to just BE without documenting. Seemed like a great time to reflect on my time with them at their stunning studio in San Miguel de Allende MX and the 3D tiles we worked on together. Finalizing some designs with these tiles and cannot wait to install them later this year. Nick and Canan made me a very special planter with one of our designs in the 1st and last photo. Making material choices for your own home
Nothing harder than designing your own home. I find ALL the reasons to procrastinate here because as much as I love getting what I want the steps to get there are just as difficult for me as they are for our clients (time, mess, money, people in your space) BUT I’m finalizing designs for 3 bathrooms, a small kitchen and a new flex space and we are really excited about the materiality in particular! Existing colors and materials like travertine, saltillo and teal windows have given rise to some really interesting color palettes and I’m excited to finally install tile from my collaboration with @clayimports alongside stunning terrazzo from @concretecollaborative 🥳 follow along for details and progress!
Revisiting the My Rowe Design showroom
@highpointmarket is coming and I cannot believe it’s been 2 years since we designed this space for @rowefinefurniture ‘s #myrowedesign project. This was the most incredible experience in all the ways, especially meeting my fellow designers @greyhuntinteriors + @frenchandfrenchinteriors the Rowe Team and the @restylesource team. HPMKT is really the best place to find new product and connect with some of the best in the business. I always get a massive FOMO attack when I don’t go but it makes the other trips super special. Special thanx to @brandidentitypr for pitching me!

The work behind handmade tile
Our factory tours with @clayimports were invaluable; these proructs are truly 𝕙𝕒𝕟𝕕𝕞𝕒𝕕𝕖 over multiple steps. Seeing what goes into each and every piece was fascinating and pressing my own tile was much harder than it looks (more on that later). Really is tile heaven down here. Sneak peak at some prototypes of our collaboration too 🤫!

What a wild week this has been with @clayimports (𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑚𝑦 𝑡𝑟𝑢𝑠𝑡𝑦 𝑠𝑢𝑝𝑒𝑟 𝑡𝑜𝑙𝑒𝑟𝑎𝑛𝑡 𝑠𝑖𝑑𝑒𝑘𝑖𝑐𝑘/𝑖𝑛𝑠𝑡𝑎𝑔𝑟𝑎𝑚 𝑤𝑖𝑓𝑒𝑦 @amandalkahle )… we’ve been traipsing all over Mexico getting a crash course in all things made of CLAY. Completely blown away by the artisans making ceramics for 𝗣𝗢𝗖𝗢𝘅𝗖𝗟𝗔𝗬 and can’t wait to share more about this journey with you over the next few weeks. Truly grateful to Nick, Devon, Canan and their amazing team in San Miguel de Allende and Dolores Hildalgo for such an enlightening experience.
Designing a space for My Rowe Design
Pinch me! When I was invited to design a space for @rowefinefurniture many months ago I had no idea what I was in for (mind you the design deadline was 2 weeks after our move🤯)?!?? My biggest goal in 2023 was to “say yes!” so here we are and what an incredible YES this one turned out to be. The team has been truly amazing/supportive and gave me more freedom than I have ever experienced on a project. Walking into a completely built-out space that I designed was a surreal experience I hope can happen more often 😂. So much gratitude for Rowe, @restylesource @brandidentitypr @highpointmarket @coreindustries @reginaandrewdetroit @jaipurliving @shadowcatchers @cyandesignhome @amityhome @accentdecorinc @mitchell__black and @southernmimi55 + @joepigliacampo for keeping my babies safe and happy. @highpointmarket has been incredible and I’m honored to be doing this alongside @greyhuntinteriors + @frenchandfrenchinteriors (don’t worry I’ll be showing you their incredible spaces too!) . Behind the scenes at Rowe
This 📸 moment at @rowefinefurniture has been in the works for months and I think my face says it all; I’m in my happy place, surrounded by design. Most of the time it feels like I can never move fast enough, get there soon enough, but as my Dad always reminds me, the ride is the best part, since “there” is a moving target. I’m grateful to be on this journey and super psyched to be part of @highpointmarket this year. I’ve had a lot of help and support and encouragement and I don’t take that for granted. Here we go!
