Schoolhouse lighting and personal interiors
We keep coming back to Schoolhouse for distinctive, thoughtfully designed pieces that help us make each home feel personal.
Styling with Accent Decor
We have always believed that a room isn’t finished until we’ve considered every last layer, right down to the artwork, accessories and especially the…
Two weeks of design, beyond the screen
So much of what we do happens on the computer…drawings, sourcing, revisions, reviews, presentations and meetings…but we break away from the screen a few times a week to do the other things that make design for our clients possible (and awesome!).
The final layer: styling a home
Sometimes a space doesn’t need to be completely redesigned; it just needs the right final layer. Styling lets us work with what you already have, identify what’s missing, and bring in the pieces that make everything feel more considered, connected and finished. It’s one of our favorite ways to refresh a home, and a great way to experience what it’s like to work with us.
A fresh direction after a water leak
So excited to see these designs come to life for our clients who have been thru hell and back thanx to a water leak that ruined EVERYTHING in their home.
Schumacher textiles at Litt Concept House
We love a great textile story, and Schumacher is always one of our first stops when we’re looking for inspiration for a new project. Sometimes the right…

Open-plan living, considered from every angle
Gorgeous and made for living…many opinions on open floor plans, but we personally love them. When they’re done well, they allow everyone to share the same experience and atmosphere while each space still feels like its own…and because everything is visible, every angle matters. The back detail on these custom @verellenfurniture sofas is ✨✨✨✨✨. This space was super special, with @stugastudio on the ceiling, @portolapaints limewash, @lukelampco pendant, stunning coffee table + accent chair by @_michael_robbins, a bespoke credenza and side table lovingly created by @sawkillecompany, vintage rugs and table from @1stdibs that we refinished in matte black. These clients were instrumental in sourcing and installation as was our builder, Simone Felice. Huge thank you to our architecture partner @conklin_architecture + residential design partner @eplordredesign . This was a major team effort and we are forever grateful for everyone involved. Newport Beach: seeing the palette together
Spaces come together in layers, and sometimes the middle feels a little weird! A paint color or a tile can feel so different on its own than it does once…
Espresso limewash by Color Atelier
Even the “small” projects are big. Close up a wall, add a few lights, paint…seems like NBD, but it all takes time, budget, planning and patience. Here’s a…
Original art by Danielle Hutchens
Art can be one of the most challenging parts of designing a home because it’s so incredibly personal. It doesn’t just need to “work” with a room, it needs…
Outdoor living with Tupelo Goods and Accent Decor

A whole-home color scheme

Silver Lake, where the interiors began
Are #flashbackfridays still a thing? In Silverlake to see my client today and couldn’t help think about how my time in this neighborhood set the stage for the last decade of my design work. Big shoutout to @bethanynauert for wanting to photograph my home for @apartmenttherapy way back in 2012 and literally planting the seeds that would ultimately grow into my pivot from fashion to interiors. My style has evolved quite a bit in 14 years but I still love this home and these photos. What was your style like circa 2012, please share in the comments below!
Stuga floors and clean white walls

A bathroom with its own point of view
A new build is really a collection of decisions, room by room.
Bespoke kitchens, shaped around daily life
A bespoke kitchen is not about starting from scratch, it is about starting from the life that will unfold there. How you move through the space, where you land in the morning, what needs to be seen and what needs to disappear. The best ones feel like they have always been there, not overly designed, just deeply aligned with how you live. In both remodels and new builds, we are thinking about proportion, material, light, and flow from the very beginning so the kitchen feels inevitable, not added on. It is a process of refining, editing, and building something that works hard but feels effortless.🤍🤍🤍If you are planning a project and want a kitchen that actually reflects how you live, we would love to hear from you (Some favorite expressions of that idea here).🤍🤍🤍
From carpet to wood: a Stuga transformation
CARPET before + after with @stugastudio - THIS is the sword I will die on 🗡️. I will not install carpet. Flat out REFUSE. If you want wall to wall carpet, we are not a good fit for you. There is nothing that high quality wood floors and rugs cannot solve. Feel free to unfollow us but this is our unwavering design opinion. Enjoy one of our favorite project collabs with @stugastudio + @mediumplenty “after” photos by @davidlauerphoto . If you’re looking for heirloom quality wood flooring that stands the test of time, look no further than Stuga.
