Faceted wooden blocks in a pastel palette
Wanna know who’s been playing with these blocks the most? Me. I actually moved them into my office because I like to stack them when I get really frustrated with something...the stress relief component is an unexpected bonus because they’re really quite pretty to have around!
Silver satin pothos adds pattern to a vignette
I try really hard not to play favorites with my plants. I’m frequently asked what varieties I would recommend to someone building up their crew so I thought I would share some pretty options. This Beauty is a Silver Satin Pothos and she’s been thriving for awhile now in a room with lots of indirect sunlight. I love the color, shape and pattern of her leaves; she likes to drape herself elegantly and is easy to propagate!
Records and a guitar beside a navy cabinet
Sitting in this exact spot except the power has been out for 4 hours (2 of which were during cohort school), there are broken trees everywhere and my kids are playing elaborate kitty games with me that seem to revolve around licking my face. It’s been a day🤪🍷This spot still looks alright at least🤦🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️
Garden color behind a photo shoot
Throwback to this incredible outdoor space that @colettedebarros found for a @parents magazine shoot... I had so much fun creating these looks with an amazing team + kiddos (including her son) ... now they’re probably all in middle school💔🌸🌿 thanx Ladies for including me on this project @adrienneherbert 🔙⏱
Vintage textile layers in a miniature surf shack
Missing the freedom of my miniature projects right now; the price of materials and turnaround times takes so much pressure off! Here’s my take on a mini Cali surf shack that was featured on @dominomag - cactus and daybed (reupholstered in vintage Ralph Lauren) by @thetinytimberco , mini Domino mags by @theshelfielife , tiny guitar from @bohovibesstudio , floor pillows + couch pillows by me
A pegboard above a bright red desk
Digging out my inbox this morning as the “to do” list grows ... at least my office finally looks like I might be organized thanx to @texwoodbuilds ... another awkward space solved with one of his beautiful pegboards 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
A small garden on a timber deck
Thinking about my first garden in LA today ... these babies were with me for 6 years (in 3 homes) and I had to leave them when we moved. I think it’s safe to say I have made up for the loss💚🌿🌵🌱
Pegboard display for a child’s favorite things
I’m so excited to share one of my new favorite things with y’all from this amazing craftsman in TX @texwoodbuilds . I stumbled upon his work while researching another project and of course I found stuff that I had to have personally. There were a couple spots at home that just needed “something” and these pegboards are so perfect, I cannot recommend them highly enough. Even my husband who usually says something along the lines of “what are you buying NOW?!?” was charmed by the look and feel of these boards. My son loves having his favorite things on display and his space now feels complete after a year of trying different pieces on that wall. Kyle also builds tons of custom pieces so hit him up because chances are he can make what you want. I’ll be sharing my office space soon (🙌🏻pegboard!🙌🏻) and one other spot that was begging for a circle board. So good.
A woven hanging chair in a plant-filled sunroom
Sunroom design and styling by me beautifully captured by @nataliepigliacampo
Open shelves restyled with books and plants
New shelf situation is making me pretty happy right now ... especially because no purchases were made in the process🙌🏻 - this was one of 3 areas in my home that wasn’t quite right and it feels so good to work through that list; what are your outstanding “needs improvement” bits in your home?!? Please share in the comments💞
Moving a rainbow of books to a new place
Decided to edit all of the bright colored books from my living room shelves; somehow they fit perfectly above my son’s bed and helped define a neglected loft space📚💥🙌🏻🌈
White stucco and sculptural desert planting
Thinking about my old daily walk on my current daily walk and this house I used to drool over ... the vegetation is a dream and I love the simple palette🤍🌵🤍🌵🤍 (always wanted to see inside👀)
Restyling a built-in with softer shapes and texture
When it comes to shelf styling I try hard to use existing items; it helps with budget and brings some of the client’s history and personality to the space. Thanx to @shopjonesandco ‘s fantastic goods I was able to rework this built-in; by introducing new textures and shapes, editing the books, lightening the overall palette and cleaning up some tech (actually my amazing husband did that @coreindustries ) the space is transformed and feels much more intentional and in keeping with the overall room aesthetic 🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍
A warm and cool color palette at Jones and Co
Always a good color palette happening here @shopjonesandco
A soft pink palette for a miniature kitchen
How many of you would love a modern pink kitchen IRL? 🙋🏼♀️ I’ve been so busy the past 2 months I haven’t had any time to work in 1/12 scale💕💕💕 but I smile every time I see this space; if you could pick one intense color for your kitchen what would it be?!
Prada Marfa in the desert light
Back home and already thinking about our next road trip ... Marfa is 13 hours straight south ⬇️from Boulder (these images from an epic Texas road trip with my Mama a few years back) ... so much insane inspo there ⛽️🗺🌵
Textiles and plants ready for a styling shoot
Packing up to shoot a project with @flight_arch @nataliepigliacampo today 💕
A miniature living room layered with color
“Rugs, pillows, blankets, books and plants; those are the items that I rely on to make a room feel warm, inviting and lived-in.” - me ( @pulledhome ) - my full scale styling tricks work in 1/12th scale too 🙌🏻
Shells as a study in natural texture and color
Mother Nature always nails her color palette👊🏻👊🏼👊🏽👊🏾👊🏿🐚 (shells found by my Mama)
