A felted wool palette for holiday styling

Using a tree skirt that doesn’t look like it’s designed for the room is pretty much the same thing as borrowing your mom’s everyday leather purse to wear to a formal school dance (a stylist cannot unsee such things). The new pink tree needed something extra special; I’m obsessed with the look and feel of this felted wool skirt...how do I use it all year long? It’s too pretty to put away. I’ve also used blankets, vintage fabric and tablecloths in the past to create just the right look. What are some of your favorite tree skirt hacks? Please share below!

A tiny kitchen and spiral staircase for a dollhouse

Cabin kitchen reveal! (1:12 cabin that is); another disaster that I had no business buying...it was so dirty and filled with mice poop that I hosed it down in the driveway! Getting this finished took forever but this kitchen is so cute now I wish I had ordered multiples of @macymae_official ‘s sold out kitchen to use in other projects! I built the staircase from 3D printed individual treads and made the sweet little range hood myself. Marlowe styled the island with holiday accessories (so proud!) and the tile is @jessicacloeminis

A shared creative desk inside a closet

Made a little kids “cloffice” last week because why not? They will take anything new they can get these days and love that you can “hide” it by closing the doors. Created with random things around the house, sources tagged. Thanx @g_calvarese for the new terminology 💕💕

White paint resets a colorful dollhouse

The power of white paint🤍🤍🤍 this dollhouse was a Craigslist find that I deeply regretted as soon as I got home; I literally had no reason to buy it and the condition was so much worse than I first realized. Yesterday I decided to delay all of my housework and put in some time. She still needs more paint, flooring, wallpaper, a standing seam roof, the third floor reattached, bricks, and support beams but at least I can look at her now without cringing 🤷🏼‍♀️ excited to design the rooms with my fave sources (all tagged)

Graphic bats and small seasonal styling touches

Getting spooky around here! 💀🎃👻 I’ve never loved the idea of holiday “decor” or “decorating” because it has always seemed a little forced, you have to have room to store it and my husband (correctly🧟‍♀️) thinks I spend too much money as is! Since having my babies I’ve had a total change of heart because they get really excited about it🧡🖤🧡🖤... so I’ve been finding ways to get into the spirit that reflect my style while bringing joy to the kiddos and causing minimal disdain from @coreindustries 😻

Hardware storage for a wardrobe and accessories

In my former life as a wardrobe stylist I amassed quite a collection of clothes and accessories (for better or worse, mostly the latter🤦🏼‍♀️). Even though I parted with more than half of it when I left LA, there’s still so much to keep organized! Hardware stores offer so many options that come in way cheaper than products designed specifically for this purpose; I’m using a toolbox here plus several sets of drawers designed to hold nuts/bolts for jewelry storage.🔩⚙️⛓🛠
