A personal art collection brings a dining room together
And the award for “Best Art Collection” goes to 🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁…gallery wall(s) installed today over at our #wholelottaloveshack project … it’s easy to make it pretty with so many unique pieces 🧩🖼🔨 although the plaster walls were less than thrilled 🧰
Terrazzo and soft green in a materials palette
Channeling the materials palette (and conference room’s wallpaper) inadvertently🤭… @lightwell_architecture
An upright piano becomes a design feature
An excellent tip from my clients; pianos become much more interesting design elements when you expose their insides🙌🏻🎹💙✨…(and traditional wood paneling can be transformed with unexpected color contrast!)
A quiet stone-wall vignette
Our #sobomidcentury living room was featured on @houzz last week! Thanx for the love @houzzpro 🪴, 📸 @nataliepigliacampo
Handmade rope and timber at Camp Altezza
Heading up to @campaltezza for the holiday weekend…probably the last time we will stay there for awhile because the summer bookings are really filling up fast! Detail on this beauty by @candiceluter on the lower level living room … so beautiful in its simplicity 🪢🪢🪢
Curved tile patterns in a muted palette
Another big tile moment coming your way soon (as long as we only fall in love with quick ship pieces🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️)
A dining room built around collected art
Gallery wall of dreams by @brandybschultz & @wesleyschultz … so very sad it has to go but over the moon to collaborate with @eplordredesign on the kitchen that lives right behind it! Thanx for the rad intro @joemharrison 💥🎱🧂
Color and geometry found on a running track
Inspiration all around, even a middle school track…the palette, the shapes, the stripes, oh my!
A handmade canvas beside the cabin stairs
Trying out this handmade canvas from @upton_home at @campaltezza … Upton’s mission is to create work that lies somewhere in the realm of fine art and home décor; making pieces that are affordable and approachable without sacrificing on quality (they didn’t ask me to quote them, I just think it’s a tight statement!) … original art is out of reach for many folks and Upton provides something in that tricky middle ground 🤎🤍🖤…thanx for letting me try out your goodies!
Vintage paint-by-numbers become a gallery wall
One of my favorite design hacks involves taking something without much “value” and elevating it to an unexpected place…these vintage paint by numbers probably cost $5 many years ago and now they bring such whimsy and joy to my home… cleaned up real nice thanx to @framebridge 🖼🖼🖼🖼🖼
Handmade clay tiles for a creative project
When your client shows you she’s been making her own damn tiles and you realize you need to try harder at life 🙈💪🏻 @harpersmithphoto
A versatile cart for the cabin kitchen
This gorgeous little cart arrived from @dims last week and she’s the perfect addition to @campaltezza ‘s sweet kitchen. You’ll be seeing a lot more of her styled in all the ways (she’s extra versatile) but for now let’s enjoy this pretty little moment with special goodies from @shopjonesandco that we’ve been using on the regular.
A handmade woven color study
So grateful to showcase such beautiful handmade pieces at @campaltezza like this stunner from @demi.macrame.designs … come check it out in person this spring along with goodies from @shopjonesandco @candiceluter @dims @sonnemanlight and many more🪢🪢🪢🪢🪢
Evening light beneath the A-frame roof
Up past my bedtime again but had to capture @candiceluter ‘s gorgeous work in this moody light…also @justinablakeney ‘s killer lamp is a whole vibe 💡🧶 @campaltezza
Styling and photography behind the scenes
That’s a wrap on February, a grueling month personally for so many reasons…it felt good to have a few hours yesterday in the zone with @davidlauerphoto capturing some very hard earned images of @campaltezza …we wouldn’t be here without massive amounts of work from @coreindustries and my friends at @shopjonesandco … It’s a bittersweet moment as friends and colleagues in the Ukraine are struggling with unfathomable challenges 🇺🇦🙏🏻 while we celebrate our little project. Onward to March, hoping for positive progress on all fronts💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
Behind the camera at Camp Altezza
We are getting there, slowly but surely…maybe next Presidents Day YOU’LL be staying HERE @campaltezza … a shoppable high altitude experience in collaboration with @shopjonesandco and @demi.macrame.designs
A look back at a colorful first home
Throwback to 2013 when my Interior Design journey began thanx to @bethanynauert + @apartmenttherapy … oh how I miss this house! Still have the rug though, scored for $100 driving down Olympic in Mid City (LA)
A vintage landscape ready for framing
About to send a few vintage paint-by-numbers off to @framebridge for @campaltezza … the colors and line quality of these beauties never ceases to amaze me, they make my heart extra happy and add so much dimension to our projects. Also still going strong in sweats for February 💪🏻… more photos to share soon, who wants to book a spot?🙋🏼♀️🙋🏼♀️🙋🏼♀️
A shelf above the cabin kitchen window
A year and a half later we finally got our shelf 🤣 …thanx @coreindustries for all your hard work💪🏻💪🏻on @campaltezza …the view from our new window is 💯💯💯
