Over the Hills and Far Away

Originally a 1970s A-frame in need of a complete overhaul, Camp Altezza was reimagined as a modern mountain retreat that deliberately avoids traditional cabin clichés. Drawing inspiration from Scandinavian design, we embraced the dramatic architecture while introducing a crisp, graphic color palette balanced with natural materials and inviting textures. Nearly everything was transformed, from the home's essential systems to the staircase, loft, kitchen, bathrooms and furnishings throughout. Thoughtful space planning, custom details and playful contrasts helped make the most of the compact footprint, creating a fresh, comfortable escape that honors the cabin's architectural roots while feeling entirely new.
