Product Design

Amy's creative practice also includes hands-on product development, working directly with makers and artisans to translate ideas into original collections. Her dimensional tile collaboration with Clay Imports is an expression of this work, combining traditional craftsmanship with a modern design perspective.

Ancient Future

What began as a search for the right tile became an opportunity to create it. Inspired by the sculptural relief of Frank Lloyd Wright's Ennis House and the enduring beauty of ancient architecture, we partnered with Clay Imports for an artist residency in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.

Working alongside their talented ceramic artists and production team, we developed a collection of ten handmade dimensional tile designs exploring geometry, texture, and the interplay of light and shadow. The concept, which we call Ancient Future, is rooted in the idea of taking something familiar and giving it an unexpected perspective.

A carefully considered palette allows the sculptural forms to take center stage, while subtle variations in the handmade clay bring warmth and character to every piece. The result is a collection that celebrates craftsmanship, collaboration, and the beauty of bringing ancient materials into modern spaces.
