Renovation & Remodeling
8 January 2021
Camp Altezza update; demo has begun! We haven’t used the lower level yet because it’s been more fun to cozy up on the main floor. This will become a private bedroom with a queen bed and lofted twin. We removed a useless closet from the wall opposite the 2 picture windows (you can see our kids helping demo it in my insta tv). This allows the bed to sit perpendicular to the 2nd photo so that you wake up to a view of the trees. The previous owners made a mistake that I see over and over again; choosing furniture that is entirely the wrong scale for a space. Their bed was WAY too large for the room making it almost impossible to walk! The new orientation and furniture will make this feel airy and open. For now we are going to leave the windows unpainted but the huge difference in temperature creates mucho condensation that’s damaging so...that may change 🤦🏼♀️ Always an adventure to renovate, too much drama and 💵.
