Whew. We got a lot accomplished at the cabin but I’m not gonna pretend it was pretty or filled with exemplary parenting (like I even know what that is🤦🏼♀️) … things are looking much better; there are to-do lists and punch lists and countertops and tile but we can finally sleep there so we continue to power through💪🏻…thanx @coreindustries for busting your butt💋

From 1976 to 2021 … Camp Altezza isn’t 100 percent finished but it’s damn close … the movers are unloading and we’re doing the basic install tomorrow and planning on renting it out during the Xmas holiday so hit us up at @campaltezza !!

Interior inspiration close to home
Sometimes inspiration is 8 minutes down the street; so grateful to spend time in this stunning home designed by mega talents @istoriainteriors and @reneedelgaudioarchitecture … the combination of these two women is MAGIC and I left feeling completely invigorated and like I need to work harder🙋🏼♀️. Stephanie may not know this but she’s one of several women (also looking at you @tandem.interiors) that inspired my pivot from fashion to interiors and it’s cool to see her crushing it. Planning an open living and dining space
Open concepts are amazing but they require a bit of thought in terms of selections; everything needs to feel like it can hang out together (but never match) and you have to strike that yummy balance between light/dark, rough/smooth, hard/soft, modern/vintage and cool/warm where a space feels elevated, comfortable and personal (and sets the stage for the rest of the home). Throwback to my first site visit at our #savvyinthesouthslope project with @prospectsarah + @justrosieinbk … been working through this concept all week and it’s feeling so good! (Swipe right⏩)

A brownstone bedroom with old-world character
My love of Brownstones is infinite…designed by my talented friends @resituated_architecture @rcmoog this one is a showstopper, particularly the Primary bedroom with its Murano glass chandelier and beautiful neutral layered textures. Every detail of this space is considered and modern while many original details were preserved. Places like this keep me inspired. Thanx for letting me share your beautiful space💕

Opening up a landing with a simpler plan
It’s been a minute since I’ve posted a good before and after; my trusted remodel strategy is to SIMPLIFY which is often hilariously complicated. Here we removed extra doors, windows, carpet (my worst enemy), bulky railings, wall texture and crazy paint and upgraded to @stugastudio flooring throughout, level 4 drywall and @sherwinwilliams “Pure White” …so.much.better. “Before” 📸 by @davidlauerphoto with @mediumplenty , art by @elbowtoe , vintage Moroccan rug and wall hanging.
