Two tiny holiday trees with playful ornaments
Yesterday marked 22 years since my Gramma Hazel passed away at 60 years old. The holidays were her absolute most favorite time. One of her traditions was to place a tree in every room, each with its own special theme (teddy bears, Santa, Winnie the Pooh, and her most extravagant, angels). Carrying on this tradition keeps her close to my heart adds some extra charm to Marlowe & Roman’s rooms (which is even more important this year while we live in a rented house with rented furniture). We all miss you Gramma.
The Kentile Floors sign above Brooklyn rooftops
Eight years ago this week we left NYC for new adventures in the West...it’s been a wild ride @coreindustries and I can’t imagine this life without you by my side. Here’s to the next decade of adventures.
Art and quiet lines in a shoppable home
Had the pleasure of touring this incredible home a few weeks ago courtesy of @guesthouseshop ...I learned about so many amazing designers and artists that I plan to incorporate into current and future projects. Make sure you get on their list for the next shoppable home!
A quiet gray hexagonal floor during renovation
Our home is currently a massive disaster except for this one perfect floor.
Woven texture and greenery in a new boutique
One of the coolest people I’ve met since moving to Boulder opened this beautiful store last week! Congrats @shopjonesandco for bringing your vision to life and thank you for creating a space that feels like home to me.
A palette of white tile shapes for a remodel
Who has time to post photos between moving (into our basement), taking care of Littles, working, and remodeling?! We have been making progress on all fronts and lots of changes are happening. We’ve ordered all of our tile and I’m so excited for more WHITE in my life!
Vintage signs and color at Lakeside Amusement Park
Took the kiddos to one of my favorite spots in CO, a super rundown but glorious amusement park built in 1908. How this place is sill around is a mystery but it’s absolutely gorgeous and chock full of incredible colors, fonts, signage and rides indicative of a more simple time. It’s truly a time machine and well worth a visit.
Earth tones around a simple dining nook
Pretty soon the earth tones will be gone but for the moment I’m kind of into this little corner🤷🏼♀️💩
A construction-day arrival during a major remodel
Another day, another truck...living in a construction zone is a major adventure 😬 @coreindustries -
A vintage landscape starts a bedroom idea
This incredible vintage painting I just found is giving me so many ideas for Roman’s new room! (and making me want to buy more vintage paintings 🤦🏼♀️)
A black exterior concept for the Orchard Residence
After MUCH serious debate it looks like we’re gonna have a black🖤 house! So excited to be working with @mediumplenty and our team of great folks in Boulder. This is my biggest design project to date and finding hours, sometimes minutes, each week to work is no easy task...but we are getting there🐌 -
Vintage lettering and ride lights in Myrtle Beach
Haven’t had a night like this in a very long time...dinner date with @coreindustries and got to wander around taking photos of vintage signage and rides...happy Mama💓
Demolition begins for a Boulder remodel
It’s been just about a year since we started obsessing over this super fugly house in Boulder...oh the things @coreindustries and I have learned in that long short time. Today, after months of planning, researching, interviewing, worrying, doubting, and dreaming we finally got started on the main level demo (basement has been creeping along for months and is almost ready for us to move in for the duration). It’s gonna be one heck of a ride but we’ve been waiting so long to tear into it that I think we’re ready (lol) @coreindustries -
Weathered timber tones for an exterior renovation
Finally about to get started on our renovation after what seems like
Historic details at Chautauqua Dining Hall
Celebrated @coreindustries upcoming birthday a little early this past weekend at the Chautauqua Dining Hall...and I finally got a halfway decent photo of the Flatirons. Boulder has epic views but I find it so difficult to capture them!
Vintage children’s books on a colorful woven rug
My SIL @nataliepigliacampo has been buying vintage behind my back and I’m so proud!
Blue Thunderbird neon in Marfa
