Macramé planters ready for installation
Getting these ready to install next week and I want to keep them all! (This happens way too much)!! Macramé often feels nostalgic but I think when you keep the pottery classic and use a variety of plants the look is fresh, clean and modern🪴🪴🪴🪴🪴🪴🪴🪴
An organized creative corner beside the kitchen
My husband decided to move his home office into a different room so the kids and I got to take over his space (which is right off the kitchen). It’s pretty sweet because I can work while they do their thing. As much as I like to hide toys I’ve found that they play with what they can see, especially the small collections that bug me the most! My fave pegboards from @texwoodbuilds keep it all together and provide endless styling options, um, I mean, “collection rotation” 😉
Textiles and timber at a favorite design shop
Throwback to my first visit to @amberinteriors ‘s OG shoppe. My Mlo was 6 months old and I had just told my agent I wasn’t going to take styling gigs any longer. I was so inspired by Amber’s journey and her unique riff on what some might call Modern West Coast Casual. The wheels were turning; could I pivot to home design in order to stay closer to my baby? Since I was now spending all my time at home, the concept of interior design was rapidly exceeding my lifelong interest in fashion. Amber has been super transparent and honest in interviews about how she came to be amberinteriors and without her frankness I might not have been open to a new path of my own. Deep Thursday Thoughts 😉
Soft color and festive layers in the dining room
Always feels good to get back to basics after the excess of the holidays. The beginning of the year is always a great time to assess, donate and refresh your home; this could be as simple as rearranging and restyling or selling some items and adding a few pieces that make the room feel “right”. What’s your favorite to do item in January? Please share in the comments below!
Winter morning light around a dining table

Candlelight and layered glass for a holiday table
Grateful for an almost normal feeling Xmas Eve dinner. We were fortunate to have one family to hang with unmasked but even that will become a past luxury once school starts back. Regardless it was a beautiful evening of joy, too much food and moody lighting. Big shout out to my friend @jamie_elizabeth_dodson (💛🌼🌛)who loaned me gorgeous goodies + coaching for the tablescape and to @_ramblingmoon who has fought tirelessly since August to provide a home learning pod and mucho support for my family. That experience is one I will remember forever🙏🏻. Wishing everyone a safe and happy last week of 2020.
Holiday layers in a miniature living room
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care ... totally adorable 🧦 from @thetinytimberco and dreamy sofa and chair from @macymae_official ! 🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍To all of my virtual friends who have supported me so much this year, a HUGE thank you. If there was ever a year for online friendships this was IT! I’m so grateful for the opportunities and lessons this year has provided me. I’m also deeply aware of how painful this year has been for so so many families thanx to COVID-19. I wish all of you peace and love this holiday and in the new year. 🙏🏻☮️😷
A pastel tree with a felted wool skirt
I’m not ready for Xmas to be over! This tree is a great example of being true to what you love (which can change!); for the past 3 years I’ve been using a tree that was purchased for my LA house where I had a very different aesthetic happening. It was fine but I didn’t love it or feel like it actually worked in my current space. I spent about $150 (tree + some new lights) and swapped some decorations from my daughter’s tree to create this confection 🍥🍘🍭🍦🍬🍧. It’s important to strike a balance between pieces you can use for years and some fresh bits that spark joy; you can repurpose or sell anything that’s not working (hi @facebookmarketplace rabbit hole 🙋🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️💁🏼♀️) who’s not ready to move past Christmas this year?
Holiday trees with distinct personalities
Honoring one of my Gramma Hazel’s traditions, multiple Christmas trees! None of these trees or ornaments were expensive but they’ve added tremendous amounts of cheer and Xmas spirit during an unprecedented holiday season 💗🌲 What are some of your favorite quirky holiday traditions? (Please share below!!)
Holiday styling for a miniature cabin living room
Ready for Santa! Mama got to play with new toys that arrived today ... restyled the mini cabin with boho holiday goodies from @thetinytimberco 💗🌲
Minimal holiday styling on a bedroom dresser
Keeping our bedroom holiday decor minimal ... @shopjonesandco where would my home be without your goodies?
A miniature home before and after
Slow and erratic progress on this Craigslist disaster that I ignored in the carport, then garage, then basement for months...I’ve settled on the layout, wallpaper, some furniture and the exterior scheme. I have no idea where it will live when it’s finished but I’m enjoying the process in 5-10 minute increments 🤦🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️
Festive touches on open kitchen shelves
Cleaned up my kitchen to show you some festive touches (it’s never this tidy🤷🏼♀️)... I loaded up any glass vessel I could find with vintage ornaments, candy & ephemera (mini trees + jingle bells) then tucked them in with my everyday items (+ extra bottlebrush trees)🌲💕💪🏻 what are you doing to make this season extra special?
A simple holiday vignette on a timber cabinet
Saturday morning light ✨✨✨and a girl pretending to be Clara under the tree💕
Red sculptural curves against a blue sky
Flashback to the days when @coreindustries would ride to Manhattan from Brooklyn on his motorcycle and take me to cool places❤️❤️❤️
A handmade bedroom in a miniature cabin
Last room of my @facebookmarketplace cabin ... bed/bedding, rug by me, all other sources are marked. This house was broken, built incorrectly (see crazy dormer windows in second pic) and filled with mouse poop. I cleaned it up, repaired, painted and styled. My daughter was horrified when I said I need to sell it but how many dollhouses can one Mama have😬?
A pink Christmas tree for a bright corner
Pretty in Pink and pretty pleased ... if there was ever a year to be a little extra at home, it’s this one. 💕💓💗💞💖🌲
Fabric wrapping in a soft colorful palette
Last year I decided to start wrapping gifts in fabric that I had around the house, furoshiki style; I used scarves, bedsheets, baby blankets , anything I could find. It was nice to cut back on the trash and the packages looked so pretty! This year the kids helped choose some flannels to add the collection and I love the colors and sweet prints. This wrapping style is so fast, easy and beautiful 💕 can’t wait to put them all under the tree💕
Pastel holiday accents on pegboard shelves
Pegboard refresh, this time for a girls room with some pastel holiday touches from @himikuco @grimmswoodentoys + @shopjonesandco 💕🌲; these beautiful pegboards from @texwoodbuilds are the best for displaying creations and collections in an organized minimal way! I’ve converted all of my @shopjonesandco planters to holiday by adding simple faux trees and now I never wanna go back! ‘Tis the season💕💕💕
Whitewashed finishes in a miniature cabin living room
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas...in my big house and my little houses⬜️◽️🎄◽️⬜️ living room of my @facebookmarketplace cabin; I whitewashed the ceiling and wall, repainted the fireplace and remade the hearth and mantle. Pillows, rug and all but one tiny plant by me, mini festive jars inspired by @reviveminis all other sources tagged
