Natural wool underfoot in a beam-filled bedroom
𝕋𝕙𝕖 𝕤𝕢𝕦𝕚𝕤𝕙 𝕗𝕒𝕔𝕥𝕠𝕣 𝕚𝕤 𝕙𝕚𝕘𝕙 𝕨𝕚𝕥𝕙 𝕥𝕙𝕚𝕤 𝕠𝕟𝕖! @enkay has wowed me again with this beauty, Onya, made from 100% natural undyed wool, ethically sourced and hand-knotted. Y’all know I like my colors and patterns and yet I’m so drawn to the simplicity, elegance and feel of this piece (the price point is mind blowing as well, I don’t know how they do it!) and cannot recommend these folks highly enough. Perfect for bedrooms and bare feet☁️🤍🐚 … 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐥 𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐦𝐲 𝐜𝐨𝐝𝐞 𝐀𝐏𝟏𝟓 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟 𝟏𝟓% before August 15th!
Finding direction in the material palette
This one’s gonna be fun … love a good design “problem” that comes with a cool team @guyboulangerconstruction @lurchjohnsonphdog - - - all thanx to @missnickyclarke 🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍
Wallpaper with personality in Brooklyn
𝕎𝔸𝕃𝕃ℙ𝔸ℙ𝔼ℝ 𝕎𝔼𝔻ℕ𝔼𝕊𝔻𝔸𝕐 is here again and it’s always fun to dig into past work where we’ve had the pleasure of collaborating with daring clients. For our #ironicmeetsiconicinbklyn project we got to mix 🆃🆆🅾 incredible designs from @flavorpaper in one space; this works because there was great variation in the scale and color of each. What I love most is how 🄲🄻🄰🅂🅂🄸🄲 both patterns are upon first glance and then how irreverent they truly are once you spend a bit of time with them. So good.
Bedroom inspiration in Good Housekeeping
Pretty excited that 🅣🅦🅞 of our projects are featured in the 𝕄𝕒𝕪/𝕁𝕦𝕟𝕖 issue of @goodhousekeeping magazine (𝑖𝑛 𝑎𝑐𝑡𝑢𝑎𝑙 𝑝𝑟𝑖𝑛𝑡)!!! Much thanx to @coreindustries for photographing our #ironicmeetsiconicinbklyn project and @davidlauerphoto for capturing @campaltezza . Grateful to see these in a mag that @southernmimi55 ‘s friends actually know (𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑟𝑒’𝑠 𝑚𝑜𝑟𝑒 𝑐𝑜𝑚𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑀𝑜𝑚, 𝑝𝑟𝑜𝑚𝑖𝑠𝑒 𝑤𝑖𝑛𝑘 𝑤𝑖𝑛𝑘) and more than that, honored to be seen in such an iconic publication.
Getting the outdoor space ready for summer
Is it the weekend yet?!? Last summer was move in madness but this year it’s all about finishing our outdoor space and hanging by the pool. Enter @tupelogoods the first company that came up when I searched for “brutalist outdoor furniture”💪🏻…literally no one is making outdoor pieces with their unique vibe which leans a bit modern but also feels a bit 60s. I fell in love and we decided to make some magic! Here is a little peek just in time for the weekend…notice our @accentdecorinc planters bringing the “ancient future” vibe, our mantra for this home🪴
Floral velvet for a built-in window seat
No one does a floral like the Brits…this velvet from @houseofhackney is too good to be true (𝕪𝕖𝕤,𝕀 𝕤𝕒𝕚𝕕 𝕍𝔼𝕃𝕍𝔼𝕋) and was exactly what the space wanted (although I could make the argument for adding the matching wallpaper🙋🏼♀️ @brandybschultz but pretty sure @wesleyschultz would be the voice of reason) …𝑀𝐴𝐽𝑂𝑅 𝑇𝐸𝐴𝑀 𝐸𝐹𝐹𝑂𝑅𝑇 on this zone, big thanx to @eplordredesign @ashley_rubino @conklin_architecture @aarondunndesignbuild @marigoldhome and @felicebrothers cannot wait to see this in person someday soon✨💪🏻
A laundry room with a new character
𝐂𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐬 𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐚 𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐟𝐮𝐧 after the 🅡🅔🅕🅡🅔🅢🅗 we gave @brandybschultz ‘s Laundry Room🧺…the vibe is completely different now and we love how it turned out! Here’s to the weekend work💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
An unplanned room becomes a favorite
The least planned spaces often become favorites…what a crazy room to sort out! ℙ𝕣𝕚𝕞𝕒𝕣𝕪 𝔹𝕖𝕕𝕣𝕠𝕠𝕞 /𝕤𝕝𝕒𝕤𝕙/ 𝕄𝕖𝕕𝕚𝕒 /𝕤𝕝𝕒𝕤𝕙/ 𝕗𝕒𝕞𝕚𝕝𝕪 𝕙𝕒𝕟𝕘𝕠𝕦𝕥 - the proportions are crazy, the views are epic, you’ll find us here for Movie Night every Friday, Mlo reading in our bed, rocket gazing and breaking all the rules of Feng Shui (our bed is floating so that we fall asleep and wake up to epic canyon scenes). For all the planning that we normally do it’s also fun to let the space tell you how it wants to be over time. My favorite item - - @eternitymodernhome ‘s side table gets the most action, Mama needs her night gallon of cinnamon tea…seriously love how gorgeous this fluted column is and that it cannot be knocked over by rambunctious boys and pups💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
Design at dollhouse scale
🅕🅛🅐🅢🅗🅑🅐🅒🅚 to that time we custom upholstered a miniature couch from a vintage 𝑹𝒂𝒍𝒑𝒉 𝑳𝒂𝒖𝒓𝒆𝒏 skirt and @dominomag found it and interviewed us about our “𝕋𝕠𝕡𝕒𝕟𝕘𝕒 𝕊𝕦𝕣𝕗 𝕊𝕙𝕒𝕔𝕜" dollhouse. Looks like I manifested the 💩 out if that one @coreindustries 😂😂😂 (just realized how similar that couch is to the one we created with @rowefinefurniture ). The Universe certainly pays attention.💫✨⚡️
Spring light in Topanga
It’s Spring in Topanga and even though we still can’t exit half the canyon, I’m so grateful for the rain that brought the mudslide and all of these gorgeous colors! So excited to share some of my favorite brands and makers that brought our solarium to life, most notablly @accentdecorinc for the 𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐀𝐍𝐄𝐋𝐘 𝐆𝐎𝐑𝐆 planters, @eternitymodernhome for our #fayetoogood inspired #fiberglass chairs, @revival for their incredible pillows , @sarmaltexturedesign @sarmal_design for her custom wall hanging and @rowefinefurniture for the ottoman that brings it all together. The colors in this room are so rich and joyful, it fills my heart with 𝕨𝕒𝕣𝕞𝕥𝕙 𝕒𝕟𝕕 𝕔𝕠𝕟𝕥𝕖𝕟𝕥𝕞𝕖𝕟𝕥.
A little joy and whimsy in a bedroom
A little bit of joy and whimsy heading into the weekend…
Sculptural vessels beside patterned tile
Calm before the storm…here is a peek of some very special vessels (Sloan and Archer) from our friends @accentdecorinc … just a few strategic pieces like this have transformed the pool area!🪴
Bringing the planting home
Is it Monday already?!? Worked like a maniac all weekend; a LOT of plants and a lot of help from the fam…you guys, what he’s carrying is 🅷🅴🅰🆅🆈!! Checked a bunch off of tasks off the list but still a lot more to do before 𝕋𝕙𝕦𝕣𝕤𝕕𝕒𝕪…powering through to the finish line🏃🏼♀️💪🏻🎬 (big thank you to @yourplantplugca can’t way to show you all what we have been working on with @accentdecorinc )
Elevated pieces within the budget
All about 🅒🅤🅡🅥🅔🅢…and creating elevated spaces within budget. I would love to be able to only source the designer original of my favorite pieces but the reality is that not everyone can spend 40K on one sofa or 10K on an accent chair (including me, hi👋🏻). Enter one of my go-to companies @eternitymodernhome who makes beautiful furntiture inspired by #vladimirkagan, Faye Toogood and countless others at reasonable prices and very good quality. They have been a great partner on multiple projects including our #hillcountryunexpected and #finallyhomeintopanga remodels and I can’t wait to show you the final reveal that includes the 2nd and 3rd image. Love being able to bring these looks to more clients and spread the 🩷.
Deep blue walls in a mountain powder room
𝙼𝚘𝚘𝚍𝚢 𝙼𝚘𝚗𝚍𝚊𝚢…while we haven’t seen it in person yet, really loving the photos from our #musicalmountainhideaway powder room with Mare Island #romanclay from @portolapaints , handpainted tiles from @tabarkastudio and custom vanity from @aarondunndesignbuild this one is 𝚜𝚞𝚌𝚑 𝚊 𝚟𝚒𝚋𝚎
A lasting love for Brooklyn brownstones
𝐁𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐭𝐨 𝐁𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐥𝐲𝐧…my love of NYC, particularly brownstones runs deep and I’m so excited to begin another project in one of my favorite neighborhoods (used to live there💓). Grateful that the universe keeps calling me back🙏🏻
A blue terrazzo basin takes shape
𝕄𝕒𝕜𝕖𝕠𝕧𝕖𝕣 𝕄𝕠𝕟𝕕𝕒𝕪; getting SO CLOSE to the finish line with our kids bathroom remodel! We partnered with @concretecollaborative on their beautiful 𝔹𝕆ℕ𝔻𝕀 sink, created this custom floating vanity with @talahome.co and installed @jacloindustries ℂ𝕆ℕ𝕋𝔼𝕄ℙ𝕆 Single Lever Wall Faucet in 𝕨𝕙𝕚𝕥𝕖🤍🤍🤍this combo is magic and the space feels so good, just waiting for our @mymitzi lights to arrive this week and then she’s 📸ready!
Creative collaboration in a Brooklyn home
Collaborating with other creatives is one of the most exciting and rewarding parts of our job. Our #ironicmeetsiconicinbklyn project pushed us to use color and pattern in the most bold ways and we couldn’t be happier with the results🩷❤️🧡💛💚🩵💙💜. Which space is your favorite?? 📸 By @coreindustries
The pleasure of a well-designed place
As I was trying to say yesterday before Instagram ruined my reel (the right version is somehow perfectly saved in drafts🤦🏼♀️)…a well designed home is 𝕋ℝ𝔸ℕ𝕊𝔽𝕆ℝ𝕄𝔸𝕋𝕀𝕍𝔼. Our personal spaces are the only opportunity we have to surround ourselves with precisely who and what makes us feel at ease. Once you find good bones and energy, 𝔸ℕ𝕐𝕋ℍ𝕀ℕ𝔾 is possible aesthetically and functionally. Really loving our friend’s @teamnuhaus @topangahomestead new listing on 20571 Cheney Drive in Topanga, 𝕤𝕠 𝕞𝕒𝕟𝕪 𝕨𝕒𝕪𝕤 we could make this perfect for its next owner✨🪄💫- 𝕨𝕖 𝕒𝕣𝕖 𝕙𝕖𝕣𝕖 𝕥𝕠 𝕙𝕖𝕝𝕡💛 (thanx @missnickyclarke for the invite!)
Sculptural planters for a layered home
Y’all know that it’s my not-so-secret mission to convert all of my clients to #plantparents 🪴… keeping plants alive is one part but choosing the right vessel is equally important! @accentdecorinc basically makes everything that I need and then some…I could have spent the day photographing all of their goodies at market! Here are a few of my favorite details! DM me if you want to learn how to become part of the #plantparentcommunity 🌱🌱🌱
