A bright yellow sink changes the room
Remodeling is always a rollercoaster🎢…clients get excited about our ideas and everyone is super pumped…then the “hurry up and wait” game starts. It’s hard to stay positive when the walls are ripped open and and tiles show up broken but it’s truly worth it in the end to have a space that looks and feels exactly right. Our Durango project basically looks like a completely different house and I can’t wait to get back there to see it all in person. Grateful for super collaborative clients and GCs on this one💫🤗💫🤗💫💃and this stunning sink from @concretti_designs and @duttonbrown pendants.
New sources for botanical interiors
You tell me you’ve got a truck full of plants and I’m there @grubbandnadler 🌿🌿🌿…working out some new sources to help my clients realize their botanical dreams 💪🏻
From polished to honed marble
From polished to honed…our marble dining table has had a few lives (the first one, a completely different slab color, cracked and the ordeal to replace lasted 2 years) - I was thrilled to learn that in addition to restoring #saltillotile , my new source could hone the marble in place! Excellent option for refreshing stone if you want a fresh matte look 💪🏻
A light-filled room in South Slope
Love how sweet and simple this girl’s room turned out in our #southslopesanctuary project, featured on @apartmenttherapy this week. Located on the 3rd floor, it’s full of light, magical angles and personal touches.
South Slope Sanctuary in Apartment Therapy
Thank you @apartmenttherapy for featuring our #southslopesanctuary project this week (I think it was worth waiting for those 𝔠𝔥𝔞𝔦𝔯𝔰 @justrosieinbk )… click the link in our bio to read more!
Restoring original Saltillo floors
This #mondaymakeover has me pretty giddy…these are my 𝕊𝕒𝕝𝕥𝕚𝕝𝕝𝕠 floors and they are being 𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙚𝙙 back to their original glory after years of neglect. When we moved in I spent two days on my hands and knees trying to remove stains and grease to no avail. I’ve been bummed for months trying to make peace with it but knowing it just wasn’t right. Finally last week I found someone that knew exactly what to do and for a reasonable price (and they’re going to hone my marble table!) I wish we didn’t have to seal it because the raw clay underfoot feels incredible. Where there’s a will folks…🙌🏻
A scalloped vanity takes shape
Special surprise update from @aarondunndesignbuild this week…the sweetest scalloped vanity for our #musicalmountainhideaway project with @conklin_architecture @simonefelicemusic @eplordredesign @brandybschultz + @wesleyschultz … can’t wait to see this installed😭
From dark media room to bright playroom
Back in Durango for our #tuesdaytransformation … our clients wanted to turn this dark media room into a bright modern play+workspace. We removed the carpet, painted the walls and lower cabinets, built custom cubbies and added this streamlined chandelier from @duttonbrown … fairly simple changes that add up to a dramatically different space💪🏻✨🌈
A sunny new direction for a Durango bathroom
So much progress happening in Durango! This property was incredible but like many Colorado homes of a certain vintage it was 𝟝𝟘 𝕤𝕙𝕒𝕕𝕖𝕤 𝕠𝕗 𝕓𝕣𝕠𝕨𝕟. @adacolme and I took care of that! Every round of photos I receive feels like Christmas; we aren’t finished yet and it’s already completely transformed! Fresh, bright and minimal with strategic pops of their favorite colors. We are so excited to style and photograph this in the spring, stay tuned💛💛💛
A new concept starts with the materials
Something yummy is starting to take shape…still in the concept phase but 𝕋𝕙𝕖 𝕊𝕨𝕚𝕣𝕝 has been fed and the plan is taking shape. (If you’re curious what that means, send me a message and I’ll walk you through our design process).
A custom walnut vanity in the workshop
It’s so hard to share progress photos of remote projects when you’re a total control freak about imagery…luckily @aarondunndesignbuild takes great pics…so excited about this incredible vanity we’re collaborating on…coming soon, a stunning marble top and @devolkitchens hardware (and a few more gorgeous cabinets😍😍😍)
Plants as the final layer
My favorite accessory…it’s not a home without plants. Clients always say they cannot keep plants alive but I promise you it’s not hard (except for the 7 maidenhair ferns I have killed🤦🏼♀️).
Moody palettes for guest bathrooms
Some moody guest baths taking shape…love these combinations from @cletile + @concretti_designs + @portolapaints … opening new samples feels like Xmas🎁
A walnut kitchen detail in 5280 Home
Many thanx to @5280home for sharing this today “Kitchen design hack: To achieve her vision of walnut cabinetry without breaking the bank, designer Amy Pigliacampo had Fort Collins–based @customclassiccabinetry create grain-matched walnut cabinets for the interior of her U-shaped kitchen and budget-friendly white drawer fronts for the outside of the peninsula.”
Progress at a mountain new build
Epic progress shots of our project for @brandybschultz + @wesleyschultz 📸courtesy of @simonefelicemusic … so many people working hard on this one @conklin_architecture @eplordredesign @ashley_rubino @aarondunndesignbuild … honored to be part of this team and so excited to share more soon!
A powder room transformed by wallpaper
Love this dramatic transformation at our #ironicmeetsiconicinbklyn project…such a vibe now and a fun little surprise for new guests🪞🪞🪞🪞🪞
Layered textiles in a Hill Country bedroom
So much editing! Super close to the end, but for now I’ll share this dreamy iPhone pic from our #hillcountryunexpected project for @harpersmithphoto + @cameronduddy … all the yummy textures and this epic bed @sohohome ⭐️✨⚡️💫
A new perspective through the glass
New places, new faces, potential new spaces 💫💥✨…such a privilege to do what we do 📐🛠️🛋️
The right stool for a working kitchen
The perfect stool is so hard to find! Seating is my favorite way to add color, texture and juxtaposition in a hard working space. {{ just checked and they are majorly on sale at @designwithinreach , shown here at our #ironicmeetsiconicinbklyn project }}
