The final layer: styling a home

Sometimes a space doesn’t need to be completely redesigned; it just needs the right final layer. Styling lets us work with what you already have, identify what’s missing, and bring in the pieces that make everything feel more considered, connected and finished. It’s one of our favorite ways to refresh a home, and a great way to experience what it’s like to work with us.

Open-plan living, considered from every angle

Gorgeous and made for living…many opinions on open floor plans, but we personally love them. When they’re done well, they allow everyone to share the same experience and atmosphere while each space still feels like its own…and because everything is visible, every angle matters. The back detail on these custom @verellenfurniture sofas is ✨✨✨✨✨. This space was super special, with @stugastudio on the ceiling, @portolapaints limewash, @lukelampco pendant, stunning coffee table + accent chair by @_michael_robbins, a bespoke credenza and side table lovingly created by @sawkillecompany, vintage rugs and table from @1stdibs that we refinished in matte black. These clients were instrumental in sourcing and installation as was our builder, Simone Felice. Huge thank you to our architecture partner @conklin_architecture + residential design partner @eplordredesign . This was a major team effort and we are forever grateful for everyone involved. Incredible photos by @reganwoodphoto 📷

Silver Lake, where the interiors began

Are #flashbackfridays still a thing? In Silverlake to see my client today and couldn’t help think about how my time in this neighborhood set the stage for the last decade of my design work. Big shoutout to @bethanynauert for wanting to photograph my home for @apartmenttherapy way back in 2012 and literally planting the seeds that would ultimately grow into my pivot from fashion to interiors. My style has evolved quite a bit in 14 years but I still love this home and these photos. What was your style like circa 2012, please share in the comments below!

Bespoke kitchens, shaped around daily life

A bespoke kitchen is not about starting from scratch, it is about starting from the life that will unfold there. How you move through the space, where you land in the morning, what needs to be seen and what needs to disappear. The best ones feel like they have always been there, not overly designed, just deeply aligned with how you live. In both remodels and new builds, we are thinking about proportion, material, light, and flow from the very beginning so the kitchen feels inevitable, not added on. It is a process of refining, editing, and building something that works hard but feels effortless.🤍🤍🤍If you are planning a project and want a kitchen that actually reflects how you live, we would love to hear from you (Some favorite expressions of that idea here).🤍🤍🤍
